As a youngster this got drummed in to me. I think it was because my parents grew up in a third world country and education is what got them here to the UK.
So I was encouraged to do my A Levels, got to university and even do a professional qualification of chartered accountancy.
Now I am all for education but I do have some regrets. The subjects I chose were the best I could find but not really relevant to what I do today. Now if there were A levels in Property Finance and degrees in Residential Lettings you can be assured that those would have been my choices!
The great thing about the internet is information is free. I reckon you could educate yourself to degree standard without ever buying a book. I reckon they should set this challenge as information has exploded over the last 5 years.

That’s right. I do this because I learnt a long time ago that if you give you get back anyway. I definitely learnt this from writing my first book The Buy To Let Bible. I just decided one day to write this book. I think my ego wanted me to be able to say “I am an author!”
This book took me 6 weeks to write and shot me to property fame. It was this book that touched people back then which led me to building my sourcing business. If I had never written the book I do not think my sourcing business would be what it is today.
